Venezuelan Yonathan Del Valle scored in the Europa League

Yonathan Del Valle knows he has to make noise. He needs to be noticed by the national team coach, Noel Sanvicente, and the only way he has to do is goals, and playing often.

Although in Rio Ave he has fared better than last season in Portugal, the player has not had as many opportunities as he had in the league tournament last year, so every chance he gets on the court must make it count.

Yesterday, he scored a real goal in the 2-1 defeat of Portuguese team with Steaua Bucharest Romania in the third round of the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.

Del Valle scored in the 48th minute of the match, when Rio Ave lost 2-0. The native from Valencia, Venezuela took advantage up the middle of the Romanian area, which ended violently casting the corner of the goal for Steaua, who built his lead with two goals from Raul Rusescu.

However, the efforts of Del Valle, who was part of the Vinotinto 20 that played the World Cup in Egypt in 2009, was not enough, and eventually the whole Lusitanian, conceded his third defeat of the tournament. The player was on the court 81 minutes.

Bittersweet.

Josef Martinez, meanwhile, also had a bittersweet evening. His team, Torino won 2-0 and leading their group is located in the Europa League, but he could not have wanted to contribute as the transalpine lauro whole.

Martinez played 75 minutes, where he was active in the team's attack of Gianpiero Ventura, but failed to score his first goal for the Turin shirt.

However, the duel serves him to gain confidence after being on the bench in the last two days of Serie A in Italy.
