In order to take the leadership of the United Sportscar Championship, the venezuelan pilot Nelson Canache returns to the track race to confront the Mazda Raceway challenge in Laguna Seca, California, which will take place this weekend the firts short term race as a key piece of the Flying Lizard Team with his mate Spencer Pumpelly.

The Canache-Pumpelly pair retake the track as a duo in this 2 hours long competition, after being a quartet at the two firts commitments of this season with Marcus Winlehock and Tim Pappas, replaced by Alex Latiff. The pair will be in charge of the R8 LMS Audi carrying the 45 number.

"I have almost a month out of competitions, but I haven't stopped training: kartings, simulators and gym. However, the team has no stopped working either. We are very close to be leading our category, maybe the most difficult category of the Serie, not only for the pilots, but also for the brands: Audi, Porsche , Ferrari, Viper and BMW among other brands", said the pilot.
