We will try some emblematic plates that had made Alto, his restaurant in Caracas, one of the best restaurants in Latina America,” Fernando Canal, General Director of Le Cordon Bleu Madrid.

After studying cooking in Spain and worked as an intern in restaurants such as El Bulli or the Celler de Can Roca, Carlos García came back to Venezuela to develop his own cooking style. In 2007, after several years working in the capital, he was honored with the distinction Gold Fork for the Chef of the Year, granted by the Venezuelan Gastronomic Academy. The same year, he opened Alto, “a restaurant that serves Venezuelan flavors, in a proposal that makes the table a place of social meeting

The visit will be on September 10th and 11th and it will have more than one hundred high cuisine lovers. “The interest that the visit of the Chef have produced is been great, the enrollment for the demonstration classes are sold out many weeks ago,” explained Canal

Since the opening of Le Cordon Bleu Madrid in January 2011, Venezuelan food has been one of the preferred by the foreign students. The team, that in the last years has been part of the high gastronomy, participates in events such as the International Room of Gastronomy and the International Gourmet Festival, hopes to visit Caracas very soon.
