The International Volleyball Federation appointed Venezuela as host of the Continental Beach Volleyball Cup, just to be held on December 6th and 7th in Vargas and classificatory for the Olympic Games Rio 2016.

"After the experience of hosting the South American Beach Sports where our representatives won the gold medal, we have high expectations towards that first tournament. We have a big stage and several pairs that have accumulated international experience, we just need to support the weekend of December 6th and 7th in Vargas, "said Juan Carlos Blanco, director of the Organizing Committee.

For Venezuela this commitment will involve four pairs, both male and female, all with the experience of having played in the Olympics Games London 2012, in addition to participate in the world's best circuit beach volleyball.

The vinotinto couples will be shaped by Jesus Villafane and Jackson Henríquez, Carlos Rangel and Jonathan Golindano, while for the women will play the sisters Olaya and Rebeca Pazo and, Norisbeth Agudo and Gabriela Brito, all under the technical direction of Mauro Hernández. This group is training in Ecuador before the next contest.

Colombia and Ecuador are the most complex rivals for the Venezuelans in this competition to take place in the Sports Coliseum beach Vargas.
