Venezuela will be back in the Volleyball World League

Venezuela will play the World Volleyball League, after four years of absence, at first against Kazakhstan from June 12th to 14th and the second against Egypt between June 19th and 21st in 2015. In this edition of the tournament, the number 26th, 32 teams will participate.

In the last participation the national was in the sixteenth position. At that time Venezuela was in the D group with Brazil, Finland and Poland. By then the Venezuelans stopped winning one and 11 setbacks, reviewed the office of the Venezuelan Federation of Volleyball (FVV Spanish initials).

The competition will be divided into eight groups composed of four teams. Venezuela is in Group 3, pool H with Spain, Egypt and Kazakhstan.

The president of the Venezuelan Federation of Volleyball, Judith Rodriguez, welcomed the decision of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) entering Venezuela in the World League Volleyball 2015, as the national team had won a seat for this tournament while participating in the XII Pan American Cup held in Mexico this 2014.

"I feel very happy because our national team returns to the world elite volleyball, therefore it is very important to make a good tour preparation since May 2015. We need the team to train with top notch countries in order to reach a good World League level, "said Rodriguez to the VVF.

Rodriguez had to introduce a quota claim that Venezuela had won the FIVB Cup, then to be informed in early November that the national team would not participate in the tournament next year.

Last August, the national team got its quota to the World Volleyball League after becoming the second South American country with the best record in the Pan American Cup in Mexico. The first place was for Argentina, top of Group C. Venezuelan male volleyball team ranks No. 29 in the world rankings box, after their participation in, where they finished in seventeenth place on Poland's World Championship 2014.

Venezuela improved six places in the list. It was located in 35th place before the World Cup, in which it had to face great teams like Poland that ended World Champion; Serbia, number 6 in the ranking; Argentina, No. 9; Australia, 12; and Cameroon 22nd place.
