One of the main energy sources of the world has been the key element in creating this new ranking, in which Venezuela is located into the rank as number 13, one place foward Norway and one place behind Nigeria- and categorizes major producing countries worldwide oil. It has been highlighted in this categorization Saudi Arabia, as the country with the largest oil production in the world, catering to many countries with a daily output of about 12 million barrels, leaving behind the place of honor the United States of America with a small difference of 600,000 less than its nearest competitor barrels.

It has been projected that the U.S. will lunge to Saudi Arabia in two years and will take over the number one spot thanks to energy revolution, that is happening in North America, as a result of gas drilling and hydraulic oil shale, according to estimates the International Energy Agency (AIE).

However, Venezuela is the country with the largest proven oil reserves in the world, while still known as the country's "black wealth" worldwide. The price of a barrel of oil, the activities from exploration and investor interest in projects are the main variables that can change calculate reserves in the world, however it has been planned that the "black gold" to continue supplying the world as a source of energy for another century .
