Venezuela has a good start on its way to Toronto 2015

Venezuela defeated 3-1 (2-1) Uruguay in the opening of the seventh Cup  America for female soccer, that started last Thursday in Ecuador and is qualifying for the Fifa Women´s World Cup in Canada-2015.  

During the match that had place in Riobamba (south), in the Group A, for the vinotinto team scored Yusmery Ascanio (13 minutes), Gabriela García (28) and Daniuska Rodríguez (75) and for the celestial team scored María de Lourdes Viana (42).

The second match was between Ecuador and Peru in the same group A that also includes Colombia. .

The Group B is formed by the current champion Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Paraguay.

The Brazilian team holds its five times championship (1991, 1995, 1998, 2003 and 2010), while Argentinian won in 2006.

Copa America Ecuador-2014 will give two positions for the Fifa Women´s World Cup in Canada-2015, while the third will be played between Concacaf representatives. The four first teams will qualify for the Panamerican Games in Toronto 2015.

Also, the champion will have the position to go to the South American Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016.
