Venezuela knew how to react at critical moments against Brazil and won the match with a score of 66 over 65, to reach a place in the final game of this South American Basketball Championship in Margarita, where they will play against Argentina.

With a stolen ball by Gregory Vargas to Raulzinho Neto at the final seconds gave Venezuela the win which also gave to the Vinotinto team a direct pass to 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto.

Brazil took the game in their favor at the third quarter, but Venezuela were focused over the whole game thanks to Heissler Guillent, who came right from the bench to become the best scorer of the Venezuelan team with 15 point.

The Brazilian team took advantage of their height both on offensive and on defensive. The overcome was made by Windi Graterol and Néstor Colmenares.

"We were able to keep the calm and we achieved that result", said David Cubillán, who scored a triple at the final quarter to tie the match with 63 points.

Venezuela will be at its fifth final in a South American Championship and will be trying to conquer its second golden medal at this tournament.

The national team will be trying to take revenge over Argentina after the defeat suffered in 2012. The Argentinian Néstor "Che" García, current Venezuelan team coach, said "I cannot ask for more as a coach of the Vinotinto. The 2012 final is repeating, at that time I was Argentina's coach and now I am at the other side. This is unbelievable".
