Usain Bolt nominated for BBC’s Overseas Sports Personality Of The Year Award

Usain St. Leo Bolt’s impressive performance in track and field this year has landed the Jamaican superstar yet another international sports nomination.

Bolt, 29, is one of six athletes nominated for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC’s) Overseas Sports Personality of the Year 2015.

The award recognises the overseas athlete who has made the most substantial contribution to sport this year.

The award will be presented at the annual BBC Sports Personality of the Year award ceremony on December 20.

For the first time in the history of the annual awards, the UK public is being invited to cast their votes to decide on the overseas athlete of the year. They are

1. Usain Bolt (athletics) Jamaica

2. Dan Carter (rugby union) New Zealand

3. Novak Djokovic (tennis) Serbia

4. Katie Ledecky (swimming) USA

5. Jordan Spieth (golf) USA

6. Serena Williams (tennis) USA

However Bolt has won the award 5 times before.
