Toronto Welcomes Invasion of Pan American Athletes

Posted by PanamericanWorld on July 09, 2015

The villa for athletes that are going to compete in Toronto Pan American Games is being crowded by sports women and men, volunteers, coaches and reporters. Over 10,000 athletes and specialists will be living together for over two weeks at the brand-new city built in the eastern area of Toronto, near emblematic Distillery District. The athletes have started to invade this city, which is characterized by state-of-the-art buildings, large and bright streets and excellent atmosphere.

According to Teddy Katz, Official Speaker of the Pan American Games, everything “is happening as planned, except for small problems related to the organization of this kind of event. Everything is working perfectly. We’ve been congratulated by several attendees, such as the Brazilian swimming coach, who underscored that he had never seen such a villa for athletes”. The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday at Roger Centre, with a performance by Cirque du Soleil.
