Posted by PanamericanWorld on September 11, 2014

The Toronto Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (THCC) and PanamericanWorld have reached a partnership agreement to join efforts on the diffusion of the Chamber’s initiatives, the promotion and organization of its activities. Both organizations will take advantage of their synergies for the benefit of the Latin American community in Toronto. The first of these actions hast been the new edition of the VISION Award Showcase. THCC celebrated the 3rd edition last October 16 at the CBC’s Glenn Gould Studio.

The Toronto Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (THCC) is a non-profit organization established 2002 to stimulate the economic development of Hispanic businesses in Toronto, Canada and Latin America. Since its inception, the Chamber has stood up for fostering the city’s economic progress, assisting the growth of the economic activities of its members, and encouraging new business opportunities for the benefit of the community. Today, the THCC is one the most dynamic, solid, and representative of the Latin American community in the capital of Ontario.

PanamericanWorld is a new digital platform with news in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Founded in Toronto, its goal is to bridge Canada and the Americas. The site specializes in publishing content related to sports, business, and travel & culture. The content is generated by an extensive team of renowned journalists and writers throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. One of PanamericanWorld.com´s main objectives is to respect and encourage the cultural and social mosaic composed by the region´s countries, as well as to generate new knowledge and collaborative pathways between Canada and the Americas.

Manuel Rodríguez, President of the Toronto Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, states that ¨the agreement is part of our objective to promote the work of our members and we identify PanamericanWorld as an excellent digital channel to help us with our strategy”.

PanamericanWorld values the agreement greatly, as it reinforces the work it has been carrying out since its inception at the end of 2013. According to its Managing Editor Juan Gavasa, “our objective is to make Canada more familiar in Latin America and to give Hispanic countries a better understanding of Canadians’ social, economic, and cultural environment. We believe that the Chamber of Commerce is an institution that, given its experience, prestige and past achievements, is one of the best allies to reach this objective. In the end, the objective is common between us.”
