Tiger Woods Preparing to Return To Golf In December

Posted by Liliana Castaño on October 21, 2014

According to reports, Tiger Woods is back to hitting full shots and preparing to return to tournament play in December for the first time since Aug. 10.

Possibly the greatest golfer to have ever lived, Tiger Woods, is hitting full shots once again, preparing to return to tournament play in December according to reports. Tiger Woods has not played since missing the cut at the Aug. 10 PGA Championship.

Tiger Woods, who had back surgery March 31 and played just seven events in 2014 because of it, is still hoping to play Dec. 4-7 in the Hero World Challenge at Isleworth in Orlando in a tournament that benefits his charity foundation. His doctors had previously restricted him to just chipping and putting, but now Tiger Woods is hitting full shots.

“The doctors said he could hit golf balls again, and he’s listening to his doctors and to his body,” Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg, told USA TODAY Sports on Monday. “He will keep listening to his doctors and body.

” … He’s feeling pretty good.”

At the Bridgestone Invitational over the summer, Tiger Woods fell back into a bunker and injured his back, which was supposedly not related to his surgery, but he withdrew in the final round. His doctors advised him to rest for several months.

Two weeks after announcing his break from tournament golf, Woods split with swing coach Sean Foley. He has not said if he will be working with another instructor in the near future.
