South American Basketball Championship starts today -Toronto 2015 on the Horizon

Tiday will start the South American Basketball Championship in Margarita Island and Venezuela will have a good chance to win its second title after 23 years of defeats.

Although Donta Dmith is dismissed and Greivis Vásquez not yet confirmed (without NBA permission yet), the Vinotinto team is a favourite in this championship. 

The other teams with possibilities to go to the finals are Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, which it has arrieved without their best figures. Even though the projection is positive for Venezuelans, Nestor García is expecting the performance of his selection.

"There are four teams leading the charts: Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela. But I do not believe in favouritism before the game", said García in the championship web page. "We have to play as a team and to qualify in the Pan American games".

The South American will give three passes to the winner teams for the Pan American Games in Toronto and four passes to the 2015 pre-olympic, which its location will be define next week.

The Venezuelan team will play this night at 8:00 pm against Peru in order to make the first step to achieved the South American title.
