'Salo' maintains the illusion of going to the World Cup Russia 2018

In an interview with the Spanish newspaper Marca, the venezuelan forward explained that the Venezuelan players are aware of the difficulty of Venezuela's participation in the CONMEBOL qualifying and possibilities. We must remember that the Vinotinto must face Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay (all world champions), along with Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Paraguay and Peru.

 "Is not that you can not compete against them, but competition is complicated by the quality level," said Rondon.

He added that the high level of competition that exists in the regional confederation, the next round will be increased by the participation of Brazil, who in the last preliminary tournament, was not present for hosting the World Cup Brazil 2014.

But Rondon has hope to the high quality of players that make up the Vinotinto selection. "We have players in many leagues in Europe and this gives guarantee and it is very good for the team," he said.
