"Ruby" is looking for her ticket to Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games

After having won the world-wide title of pole vault, the venezuelan Robeilys Peinado is looking for Youth Olympic Games as her next destination. She will get her ticket to the Youth Olympic Games this saturday (may 17) at the a qualifying tournament in Cali, Colombia. This competition will be her last chance in order to be at the Youth Olympic Games as a representative of southamerica.

The venezuelan arrive at this competition as a favorite due her big list of triumphs in last months. "It is expected that Robeilys jump over 4.10 and 4.20 meters in order to win that medal and conquer her classification", said her trainer Carlos Faneyth, who also said that the first rival of Robeilys is the colombian Giseth Montaño.

At olympic trials will be participating a total of 15 athletes, representatives of five different continents, which will fight for one of the eights places at the final stage of the battle. 

"Ruby's" best mark is 4.40 meters, due to a deep physical, technical and tactic work between Italy and Venezuela, which has raised the expectations of this athlete and the possibilities to be at the top 3 best pole vault jumpers in the world.

"I have worked very hard since last year. I am prepared to accomplish my olympic dream, it won't be easy, but I will do my best to achieve my objetive", said Peinado. 

The athlete said that she has not been in any competition this year and that has allowed her to be focus on her main trials: World Championship and Olympic Games. "I know I can l leave my country's name in a great place", said the 2013 Bolivarian Games' gold medallist and winner of a silver medal at Southamerican Games in Chile.

The trip to Cali is scheduled to this thursday may 15, while the competition will take place at may 17, 2.30om, Colombia's time. 

After her participation and the hope of winning this competition, Robeilys will return to Venezuela to continue her training and to assist to Medellin Grand Prix this may 31, then she shall go to Los Angeles (USA) to assist to a camp in july, the same month which she will have the World Youth Athletics Championship in Oregon.
