If you did not see it:

Proud for the provision of the U.S. team at the Brazil World Cup, Barack Obama decided to call the team and congratulate you on the work.

Everyone knows that football, or soccer, is far from being one of the favorite sports of Americans. Therefore, when it comes to competitions such as the World, the hope that the team is not much go away.

However, this year, the U.S. team had an amazing performance, proving that also has a distinguished place in the sporting activity of their country. The team, who happened to Portugal in Group G, has gone further than what their fans could imagine and, incredibly, managed to captivate more fans than had hitherto achieved. So that even Barack Obama recently decided to talk about football during one of his speeches.

The team reached the knockout round, having in the meantime been eliminated by Belgium, has even made history thanks to goalkeeper Tom Howard who just hold the record for the most accomplished defenders in a single game world.

Proud, the U.S. president decided to call the team thanking your effort.

“They were fantastic, and for someone who loves football like me, despite knowing not play much, see you managed to win the hearts and the imagination of the entire country is unbelievable,” he said, adding that the sport is growing in the country .

“This was the first time that the entire country was focused on football,” Obama continued, saying that although it is frustrating being eliminated, what they did was very important.

The other aldo line and on behalf of the team, and captain Tom Howard Clint Dempsey acknowledge the support and say “It’s an honor to represent the country.”
