Posted by Juan Gavasa on January 26, 2015

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Magali Silva, predicted an internationalization of the Peruvian textile industry resulting from the preparation of new design professionals looking to take their job to new foreign markets.

A total of 24 fashion designers and students from across the country have presented their creations as part of the first stage of Jovenes Creadores al Mundo (Young Creators to the World), a contest held within the framework of Peru Moda 2015 scheduled for April 15-17.

The contest is aimed at promoting the new Peruvian fashion design talent in the world through the development of creative proposals in line with the trends.

At this first stage, the committee will undertake a detailed assessment of contestants' proposals and the finalists list will be published on February 4.

The second stage will assess four proposals, which will be shown at Peru Moda catwalk.

The winner gets an internship at a renowned fashion house and a flight ticket to an international destination, among others.
