Pastor Maldonado ended up his contract with Williams team

Last year, the only venezuelan pilot on F1, Pastor Maldonado, decide to ended up the contract with Williams F1 team, less than a year before the end of the contract.

According to the publication of the financial report from the Williams Team, PDVSA was the first sponsor of this pilot, which company paid 25$ millions for the venezuelan could leave at the end of the last season of the equipment, the amount help heal Williams finances and end the fiscal year with a profit of 15 million euros.

According to the article published by the London Telegraph that the result was positive thanks to the compensation that the oil company paid for the freedom of his pilot to leave the team and causing Williams to recover from six million in accumulated losses in 2012.

The owner of the William Team, Frank Williams, said through a press realease thet the team is economically fine: "We've improved our commercial level during the winter months and Williams continues to attract a group of enthusiastic and loyal partners. This annual results demonstrate that we continue to manage our business in a responsibly way and continue to grow. We have started the 2014 season very well and hopefully we can keep improving our performance".
