Mexican racquetball player Paola Longoria won the tournament known as Abierto Mexicano de Raquetas after beating María José Vargas, a Bolivian player naturalized Argentinean.

Longoria, 25 and born in San Louis Potosí, played with a strained right ankle, but that did not prevent her from winning her 145th match in a row.

This is Longoria's 36th consecutive title.

The tournament was held at an educational center in Huixquilucan, State of Mexico.

"I am very happy and grateful to God for winning despite my injury. I hope to see you next year," Longoria said.
