The Palace of Schizophrenia

Posted by Aimee Flores Jiminian on September 16, 2013

The Hotel Restaurant El Conde located in the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo at the corner of Arzobispo Meriño Street and the pedestrian El Conde street better known as the Palace of Schizophrenia for all the bohemian and intellectuals that frequent the spot to chat about better times, plastic arts, poets, music, politics and more.

Also located in front of the Parque Colón with a spectacular view of the First Cathedral of the Americas, the Palace of the Schizophrenia, is enjoyable at anytime whether it is for a morning coffee or breakfast, they have the best Mangú (plaintain purée) with scrambled eggs and bacon or omelettes. You may also enjoy exquisite dominican dishes for lunch or have an afternoon beer for the food there is great and the scenery is magnificent, but the people that frequent this spot are what makes it the Palace of Schizophrenia.
