Ontario home to more than half of Canada's fastest growing tech companies

This year, 33 out of 64 Canadian technology companies recognized by the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 hail from Ontario cities, including companies from TorontoMississaugaOttawaLondonHamiltonWaterlooCambridge, Whitby and Markham. The awards identified Canada's 50 fastest growing start-ups and established tech companies, listed 12 early-stage companies to watch, and distinguished five companies with the Technology Fast 50 Leadership Award. This year's winners grew by a combined average of 1,293%.

Ontario's fastest growing tech companies

Twenty-three out of 50 of Canada's fastest growing tech companies are Ontario-based. They include:

Two-thirds of Deloitte Fast 50's 'Companies to Watch' are from Ontario

Four out of five of Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Leadership Award-winning companies are from Ontario

Recipients of the leadership awards demonstrate innovation and leadership and are recognized as elite members of the Canadian technology sector. Selection criteria for this award include competitive advantage, size, growth and market attractiveness, management effectiveness and organization, and financial performance. In 2015, the four Ontario-based businesses honoured with this award are:
