Mo'ne Davis is taking over USA's sports scene

Standout pitcher Mo’ne Davis isn’t just making headlines this week after becoming the first female to pitch a two-hit shutout in the Little League World Series, she’s making magazine covers. Here’s the 13-year-old Taney Dragons phenom on the latest issue of Sports Illustrated:

The superstar teen, who’s breaking gender stereotypes with her 70-mph fastball, has shot to fame over the past week, but has amazingly kept a level head. She said in ESPN’s “Sunday Conversation” that the only thing she feels is different is her status on social media. “Celebrities tweeting me,” Davis said. “That really changed a lot.”

And while Davis is thrilled with her baseball team, she has future dreams of playing basketball, first at U-Conn. and then in the WNBA.
