On the centenary of her birth, France honored the Mexican diva María Félix, with photo exhibitions and screenings of some of her best films.

The tributes began in Biarritz, southwest, in the 23rd Latin American Film Festival, the most important of its kind in France, then continued in the second edition of the Mexican Film Festival in Paris.

In Biarritz, a photo exhibition of "La Doña", taken by the great photographer Héctor García, was displayed.

In Paris, a new tribute took place today during the second edition of the Mexican Film Festival.

The Mexican Film Festival screened  "Enamorada" starring María Félix, who participated in 47 films in Mexico, Spain, France, Italy and Argentina.

The event was held at a cinema in Porte des Lilas, and participated the Mexican writer Alberto Ruy Sánchez, who sang "María Bonita" in memory of the diva.
