The subjection established  by the pitchers to their batting rivals in the modern era of baseball has Felix Hernandez between its main promoters in 2014. Along with Clayton Kershaw in the National League, the right has a kind of good pitching, marking a significant gap among his performance and the rest of the initiators of the American League.

It seems a matter of two more outlets for the "King" to accomplish his great work pitching this season. Two presentations at Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Angels on the last day of regular round (if the opening is not exchanged), separate him of his second Cy Young Award.

The possibilities of the player were increased after living the best September of his career. In four outputs has a low 0.96 performance, as he scored just three earned runs in 28 innings.

Even in 2010, when he won his first award for best pitcher of the new circuit, had a 1.64 in five starts.

The ace of the Seattle Mariners is sustaining favoritism to the Cy Young with his efficacy, which dropped to 2.07 per departure seven zeros on Thursday versus the Angels. This also placed him on top in whip with a low 0.91 and second position in innings pitched (226).

That night before Californians fanned eleven rivals for the third time this season. In all, he has gone through the guillotine 236 rivals, ranking fourth behind Max Scherzer (237), Corey Kluber (244) and David Price (255). Being among the top three is still more than possible.

But while Hernandez going at this rate, his team has prevented him from adding to his record victories. The right-hander has three actions in a row without leaving decision. In two of them, he did not allow dashes and the other just stood on his plate twice. Seattle scored a total of nine races in those days.

However, this will not be an impediment to Felix takes the honors in modern baseball, where the value of that statistic dropped considerably. The year of his Cy Young-he has a record of  12-13, and in this he shows 14-5.
