José Altuve might play basketball

Being tall is a general characteristic of an NBA player, but height isn't as important in baseball.

That is evident in a recent photo of Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant and Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve.

Durant is 6-foot-10, which is about average in the NBA. However, Altuve at 5-foot-5 is the smallest among MLB players.

But that doesn't mean Altuve can't play basketball. The shortest player in NBA history was Tyrone "Muggsy" Bogues, who is 5-foot-3.

Durant is probably used to being around people shorter than him. But Altuve would be wise to not attend a New England Patriots game if he's sensitive about his height.

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick were caught on camera last season cracking jokes about how "little" some of the Boston Red Sox are compared to NFL players.
