Jamaica continue dominance at Carifta Games

Photographer Collin Reid captures Jamaica's juniors athletes as they continue to dominate their peers at the 44th Carifta Games at the Kim Collins Stadium in Basseterre, St Kitts.

Former Jamaica Prime Minister P J Patterson (centre) poses with members of the Jamaica Carifta Games delegation during a surprise dinner party for the team at the Carambola Beach Club last Friday in St Kitts. Patterson took time to encourage athletes to give of their best for Jamaica and themselves as well as members of the management team. The Calabar High School old boy also had a chat with Jaheel Hyde and Michael O’Hara, two of the most outstanding junior athletes at this year’s edition of the Carifta Games.

Jamaica’s Tyreke Wilson (#378) competes in the Under-18 100m final to win the bronze medal behind Akani Heslop (#466) of Trinidad and Tobago who won silver on Saturday. Xavier Angus (left) of Jamaica and Antigua and Barbuda’s Coul Graham (second left) are also pictured.
