Posted by Shanelle Weir on January 26, 2015

Dr Mark Broomfield is the new president of the Jamaica Basketball Association (JABA) after capturing seven of 18 votes during elections at the Jamaica Olympic Association offices on Sunday.

Broomfield, 42, edged out Paulton Gordon (six votes) and Major Clifton Lumsden (five votes) for the top post. No votes went in for the fourth candidate Douglas Reid.
