It’s Time for Ecuadorian Food at this Summer’s Fancy Food Show

Every year, thousands of people from around the world come together to enjoy the Summer Fancy Food Show, the largest specialty food and beverage event in North America. It is no secret that New York City is one of the culinary food capitals of the world. It is the eclectic food from the numerous participating countries, however, that will allow visitors to indulge in the tastes of the fanciest foods available.

In this occasion, the 2014 sold-out exhibit will count with an Ecuadorian Pavilion for twenty exporters that will showcase products in the category of processed goods within the Ecuadorian fancy foods such as, snacks, coffee, chocolate, marmalade, seafood, RTD drinks, among others.  “For anyone interested in exploring new products with exciting flavors, the Ecuadorian pavilion is definitely a stop you want to make” says Cristina Barrera from Ecuador’s New York Commercial Office.

Ecuador will be represented in what the largest event ever held since the fair was inaugurated in 1955. From June 29thto July 1st, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York expects the attendance of 28,000 buyers, including U.S. retailers, restaurants, and delegations from foreign countries.

Taking advantage of the record number of industry visitors, Ecuador’s New York Trade Office will also be hosting a parallel event called “Ecuador Gastronomic,” done as part of the reception of the prestigious Sofi Awards on June 30th to promote the Ecuadorian cuisine and its products.

The Fancy Foods show is an opportunity for restaurants, markets, and consumers in general to discover the quality of Ecuadorian specialty food products. Ecuador also invites all participants in this summer’s Fancy Food Show to visit the Ecuadorian booth! You can also make sure you find Ecuador’s stand in booths 301-333 and 306-312.
