Gabriel Maestre is number two of amateur boxing

The Venezuelan welterweight Gabriel Maestre is the best positioned in the ranking of the International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA), corresponding to October.

The Venezuelan boxer is the first letter of the Venezuelan elite selection, he is located in the second position in the world ranking with 1,850 points, behind Daniyar Yeleussinov of Kazakhstan, who remains on top with 2,375 units in the table of top 10 in the world.

In the lightweight division, Venezuelan Luis Bunker stood in sixth place with 1,500 points. The other top ranked Venezuelan Eduard Bermudez are located in 14th flyweight; Yoni Yoel White on 15 featherweight; Juan Carlos Rodriguez, 17 position middleweight; Endry Saavedra, the 15 light heavyweight; Flores and Alfonso Millan, 23 at heavyweight.

For the females, Karla Magliocco ranks eighth flyweight.

Several Venezuelan fighters who are among the best in the world got quotas for the country to participate in the XXII Central American and Caribbean Games, which will be held in Veracruz, Mexico, from November 14th to 30th.

A total of 13 fighters see action in this sporting event. For the men's team won the tickets Angelino Córdoba (49 kilograms), Eduard Bermudez (52 kilograms), Yoni White (56), Jose Diaz (60), Endry Saavedra (75), Luís Bunker (64), Gabriel Maestre (69) Albert Ramirez (81), Alfonso Flores (91) and Edgar Muñoz (+91). On the women they succeeded Karla Magliocco (51), Kissandry Rivers (60 kg) and Francelis Carmona (75).

The boxers will travel on Friday to Mexico City, where they will work height. Then they will go to Havana  to make a preparation of blanks until November 14th, when they will travel to Veracruz to the start of the boxing calendar.
