Gabriel Maestre, who just won gold at the South American Games, was consolidated as the world’s second welterweight according to the ranking of the International Boxing Association, Aiba.

Maestre totals 1,850 units and is only surpassed by Daniyaer Yeleussinov (Kazakhstan), who has 2,375 points.

Meanwhile, the lightweight Luis Arcon appears as sixth in his division, where the first on the list is the Cuban Lazaro Alvarez.

It should be noted that given the excellent performance of Maestre and Arcon in the World Boxing League with the franchise USA Knockouts, the highest organization in amateur discipline extended them an invitation to join the semipro circuit (APB), where there were already chosen eighty gladiators to begin their participation from next June .

After this circuit the Aiba will determine which boxers will be able to attend through this way to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
