The FIVB Heroes will represent Japan and Brazil, respectively, in the tournament that brings together all the continental champions from 2013!

The run for the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup’s title starts this Tuesday, November 12th, and will be held in the cities of Nagoya and Tokyo, Japan. A total of six teams will compete in what FIVB Hero Saori Kimura called “the culmination of this season”.

Saori and team Japan are qualified as hosts of the women’s competition and will have all their local support to try to win the tournament for the first time. Fellow FIVB Hero Sheilla Castro is also ready to go for gold. South American Champions, Brazil, have already won FIVB’s World Grand Prix in 2013 and are the clear favorites for the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup as well.

Sheilla knows well the taste of victory in Japan. She is one of the few remaining stars from the Brazilian team that took the gold medal in the 2005 World Grand Champions Cup and will try to lead her teammates to a second victory for the first time in the tournament’s history.
