Final weekend for Toronto Christmas Market

Posted by Juan Gavasa on December 18, 2014

Twenty-one days of Christmas magic at the Distillery Historic District will be coming to an end this weekend.

The Toronto Christmas Market, which features more than 36 vendors and 240-plus free performances as well as nightly carolling, will be wrapping up for the season on Sunday, Dec. 21 with the Mill St. Brewery World Caroling Challenge at 5 p.m. sharp. Organizers are hoping to break the world record for the most carolers singing in one place.

Canadian soprano Measha Brueggergosman will close the festivities at 6:30 p.m. with a special performance.

Mill Street will hand out reusable LED candles and candleholders and will donate $1 to the Daily Bread Food Bank for every person who uses the hashtag #millstreetmoment
