The film Libertador Will Be Shown in 21 Cities in The U.S

Liberator leaves our borders and reaches American territory. Next October 3rd will premiere in the United States the film stared by Edgar Ramirez (who is currently in the making of the film Point Break) and directed by Alberto Arvelo (Dye of Fame). It will be in 21 cities and will try to conquer the audience, just as it has done here. It will also be exhibited in the premium rooms in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami.

The film will be distributed by Cohen Media Group, the company responsible for Oscar-nominated movies as: White Snow (Spain, 2012), Out Side the Law (Algeria, 2010), Frozen River (USA, 2008) or Queen Margot (France, 1994). This Latin American epic movie has been widely accepted by the Venezuelan public, remaining in the top of the domestic box office and has received many compliments from critics.

"I do not think that Latin America has made a film of this quality before, so much ambition, a big bill ... this film will be remembered for a long time", said Juan Carlos Arciniegas, film critic and journalist of CNN in Spanish.

Dudamel’s music

The premiere of this production in the United States is preceded by the participation of the musician Gustavo Dudamel, composer of the soundtrack of Libertador, in the Behind Score conference, organized by the Oscar Academy. There Dudamel shared with Gustavo Santaolalla and John Williams.

The Venezuelan conductor made ​​a sensational concert at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, where he presented his first soundtrack, supported with images of the tape. This concert was enjoyed by 15 thousand people who filled the prestigious amphitheater.

About the production

The Venezuelan-Spanish co-production also featured the work of professional and renowned Hollywood filmmakers, which made team with the best technical and "crew" that a Venezuelan film can have. With a meticulous recreation of the battle scenes and shocking scenes, the movie includes in its cast besides Edgar Ramirez as Simon Bolivar, Venezuelan actors such as Erich Wilpret, Carlos Julio Molina, Juvel Vielma, Francisco Denis, Leandro Arvelo, Jose Antonio de Miguel, and the actress Zenaida Gamboa. Coming soon Globovision will show a behind the scenes program, with exclusive footage and testimonies recorded during the shoot.
