Falcao out for 'two or three weeks'

Manchester United will be without Radamel Falcao for two to three weeks, according to the on-loan striker's father. The Colombian has not featured for the Reds since emerging from the bench during the 2-2 draw with West Brom at the Hawthorns last month.

A knock suffered in training ruled the 28-year-old out of the clashes with City and Chelsea, while he will also miss Saturday's meeting with Crystal Palace at Old Trafford. And his father says that United will be without Falcao for a little while longer.

“What I understand is that he has a sore calf, a little pull," he told Colombia's La FM. “It’s for two or three weeks, and I think he will be ready for next week, if you listen to the club doctor.

“His discomfort is muscular. He is training alone doing recovery and will have to wait.”

Due to his ongoing injury problems, Falcao was omitted from the latest Colombia squad ahead of the international break. The South Americans are set to face the United States at Craven Cottage on Friday.
