The Venezuelan airline Conviasa opened special flights to Manaus, Brazil, to cover the high demand for tickets due to the 2014 World Cup.

Manaus is one of 12 cities where the matches of the World Cup will be played, and to this town travels Conviasa since February from the Santiago Mariño airport, Margarita Island, as part of strengthening the tourist route between Venezuela and northern Brazil.

The president of the airline, Luis Gustavo Graterol Caraballo, said in a press release that special flights were enabled for this Friday 13 and Thursday 26.

Between the two dates four games will be played at Arena Amazonia Stadium in Manaus: Italy-England (06/14), Cameroon, Croatia (06/18), United States-Portugal (06/22) and Honduras-Switzerland (06/25).

Since last February, Conviasa has completed 30 transactions to the Brazilian city with more than 1,800 passengers, on weekly flight on Thursdays

Graterol Caraballo said that Conviasa is the only airline that offers direct flights from Venezuela to Manaus.
