Colombia currently stands in 5th place in the FIFA soccer rankings having been surpassed by Portugal which now stands in 4th with 1219 points against Colombia’s 1211.

Colombia was not the only side to change places, Switzerland also moved up a place into 6th, moving Uruguay down into 7th. The top 3 teams of Spain, Argentina and Germany have maintained the same positions.

295 points currently separate Colombia from the table leader’s, Spain.

World Cup hosts Brazil also moved up one space into 11th.

Colombia’s first World Cup match will be in Belo Horizonte on July 14 against Greece.
