The life and accomplishments of the late, great Eric Williams — the founding father of Trinidad and Tobago and independent nation’s first prime minister — will be remembered at a birthday celebration on Sept. 27 in Manhattan.

“The Celebration of a Man and his Legacy” affair, marking the 103rd anniversary of Williams’ birth, will be held at the Katra Lounge, 217 Bowery, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., presented by Colin Williams Photography.

Colin Williams (no relation), the creative director and CEO of the firm, noted that Eric Williams will be remembered for “both his political leadership and scholarship which he maintained throughout his political life, authoring many books during his years in office. This event will commemorate his achievements and pay tribute to that man.”

Born Sept. 25, 1911, Williams died March 29, 1981 and served as prime minister until his death.

Donation for the semi-formal affair is $20 per person. For information, send email to colinnwilliams@gmail.com or call (646) 552-5521.
