Caixa gives US$103 million for waterworks and road paving

Financing approved by Brazil's federal savings bank Caixa for waterworks and associated road paving reached 249mn reais (US$103mn) last week.

On Friday, three loans worth a total of 120mn reais were signed for the state of Rondônia. Approximately 85mn reais was allotted to sewer system construction and water supply system expansion in the city of Vilhena, and the rest for road paving in Cacoal city, according to a local government release.

Earlier last week, the bank also awarded 129mn reais in financing for waterworks and paving works for Espírito Santo and Santa Catarina states.

Espírito Santo was allocated 99.1mn reais for the cities of Viana and Colatina, and Santa Catarina was awarded 30mn reais for the municipalities of Jaraguá do Sul and Porto União.
