Altuve or V-Mart, who will keep the batting title in the American League?

The competition for the batting crown in the American League was reduced essentially to Victor Martinez and the current King, Jose Altuve. The second base of Houston Astros broke any record, but Detroit slugger has managed to keep the trot at this point of the year, without losing sight too.

With three games left to play for Houston and Detroit, this competition between the Venezuelans players is not fully defined. Certainly Altuve and his .343 average give a clear favoritism, but if his latest clashes are unproductive and V-Mart achieved more than .334 lift that had before the match on Thursday, the batting title can change hands. The numbers indicate that things could still change (see chart).

The manager Tom Lawless stuck the chance to rest Altuve in the last series against the Mets, but the waiter himself prefers a degree in the field.

"I'll try to play, but he's the manager. He told me that he will try to give me a day off in New York, but I told him that I'm ready to play," said Altuve to mlb.com.

Be Altuve and Martinez, the fact is that for the fifth year in a row, Venezuela a batting title will be in the big tent.
