9 Places In Toronto To See The 2016 Canada Day Fireworks

One of the most exciting things about Canada Day are the celebrations! From musical performances, a variety of activities and events, there is so much happening in Toronto!

Of course there is no real celebration without fireworks, therefore we’ve compiled a list for you to take a look at for your own convenience. Whether you’re in the downtown core, east, west or pretty much anywhere in the GTA, here are 9 places you can watch the dazzling fireworks to celebrate Canada’s 149th birthday!

1. Ashbridges Bay // 1561 Lake Shore Blvd E. 

Ashbridges Bay is one of Toronto’s most popular spots to watch fireworks for all major holidays. Over 2,000 blasts will go off the Toronto’s skyline with a “”a grand finale of pyrotechnic wonders.” The annual lakeside spectacular show will kick off at 9:30 pm on July 1st.

2. Harbour Front // 235 Queens Quay W.

Celebrate Canada’s 149th birthday on the waterfront, watching fireworks blast in the air! The  Harbour Front will be hosting a variety of activities and musical performances during the day, following with a dazzling firework show at 10:40 pm on July 1st. 

3. Downsview Park // 35 Carl Hall Rd.

There will be two locations set up for Canada Day at The Meadow and Festival Terrace. The magical show will begin approximately around 10pm on July 1st. 

4. Centennial Park // 256 Centennial Park Rd.

After stuffing your face with an overload of food at Ribfest, stick around for the firework show at Centennial Park in Etobicoke that will begin at 10 pm on July 1st. 

5. Canada’s Wonderland // 1 Canadas Wonderland Dr.

If you’re spending the day at Canada’s greatest amusement parks, you should definitely stay for the firework show at Wonderland. There will be over 6,000 fireworks setting off at Wonder Mountain beginning at 1 pm.

6. Mississauga Celebration Square // 300 City Centre Dr.

After a full day of organized events and concerts, there will be a fireworks in the west end at Mississauga Celebration Square at 10 pm on July 1st. 

7. Mel Lastman Square // 5100 Yonge St.

There will be several musical performances throughout the day at North York’s central square. The firework show will begin at 10:30 pm on July 1st. 

8. Stan Wadlow Park // 373 Cedarvale Ave.

If you’re around East York, head over to Stan Wadlow Park to watch beautiful fireworks blast off to celebrate Canada Day. The show will kick off at 10:15 pm.
