300 Venezuelan athletes aspire to be in Toronto 2015

With the performance of track cycling at the Olympic Festival in Mexico, Venezuela's participation in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto is 122 athletes with a ticket to attend the tournament.

Over the past week, the guys at the track assured 15 tickets to Canada from all 16 available with yet another competition where they can achieve the other quota.

In Guadalajara 2011, the discipline won five gold and two silver medals, which highlighted the performance of Hersony Cannelloni and Daniela Larreal.

During qualifying for Toronto, again Canelón and Larreal commanded the delegation. The first highlighted with gold medal in the individual sprint and team, plus bronze in the keirin; while the second did it with a silver medal in the team speed and a bronze in the keirin and individual sprint.

"We hope to bring about 300 athletes, a very similar figure with which we attended the Games Guadalajara 2011 The Festival of Mexico gave opportunities to several disciplines to qualify, but they still have other qualifiers to those who could not in Mexico, "said Eduardo Alvarez, president of the Venezuelan Olympic Committee.

The gymnastics will also go to Canada with 10 competitors, being female rhythm which brought six more representatives.
