2014 Suramerican Beach Games will start this wednesday

José Luis García Carneiro, Vargas' governor, said this monday that Venezuela will be the eyes of the continent during 2014 Suramerican Beach Games, which will be inaugurated this wednesday may 14th, at Hugo Chávez Frías Arena, at Vargas state.

"We are well prepared. I am pretty sure that we are going to have a very important event. I am sure that Venezuela will be America's ayes", said the governor through public statements in the State television channel.

Luis García Carneiro took the opportunity to thank to Venezuela's president, Nicolás Maduro, by approving the construction of this work in his administration in just 11 months.

"That is why we want to say to you that we are well prepared. From the organizative point of view we are made all the efforts. I am sure that we are going to have a big event", said García Carneiro. In other hand, Antonio Álvarez, Ministry of Sports of Venezuela, was grateful with the work made by the organising committee and the Governor's office.

"We are going to wait the best results. There is a whole team to secure peace and stability here in Venezuela", said the minister.

Daniela Rivera (Laser radial), José Gutierrez (Laser standard), Julio Silva (Sunfish), Mark Chirinos and Gozalo Cendra (Snipe), Dismary Bonillo and Daniel Flores (RSX), and Yamil Saba y Andrea Saba (Nacra) compose the sailing team.

Venezuela will have 102 athletes in different disciplines: open water, triathlon, sailing, beach volleybal, water skiing, beach soccer, sur, handball, beach rugby and beach tennis. Argentina has the biggest delegation of all with 107 athletes. Bolivia will compete with 11 athletes, Brazil with 39, Chile with 25, Colombia with 40, Ecuador with 72, Guyana with 26, Panama with 2, Paraguay with 28, Surinam with 7 and Uruguay with 53.
